Cardiff based IT and Software Development experts Ikona, are offering a £1,000 scholarship and work skills mentoring to one person within Wales, who is currently attending the University of Glamorgan or hoping to attend in October 2012.
To apply, each applicant must tell Ikona in no more than 500 words why they deserve to be chosen for the scholarship. Paying particular attention to the obstacles they have overcome, what they intend to do with their careers and what they hope to gain by this award.
Director of Ikona Spiro Ginis is delighted to offer this scholarship, “I believe that everybody has the right to a university education and as a successful business owner, it’s also my duty to play a role in helping young people achieve their ambitions.” “As a graduate of the University of Glamorgan, I’m very keen for other people to experience the opportunities that I enjoyed as a result of my time at Glamorgan.”
Professor Gary Packham – Head of the Glamorgan Business School & Head of Research - Faculty of Business and Society said “We’re very proud that one of our graduates who’s a successful entrepreneur has decided to support our current students. We’re also pleased that by working with Ikona the recipient of the scholarship will also see that becoming a graduate entrepreneur is a very real career option.”
